This handcrafted magnetic bottle opener showcases a mesmerizing layered pattern reminiscent of Damascus steel or micarta, with concentric rings of earthy tones—yellow, brown, black, and cream—flowing organically across its surface. Made from very rare Fordite pieces that sell for $55 an ounce and there are a few ounces of Fordite used here. Fordite is also know as Detroit Agate. It is a unique material made from fossilized automotive paint. It is not a natural stone, but rather layers of automotive enamel paint that built up over decades in car manufacturing plants.
It is also very hard to work with. Many hours have gone into making this opener.
